Welcome to the team

Congratulations on being selected to work at UPSMI! 

Staffmark and UPSMI have a strategic relationship, known as an Onsite Program. This relationship provides us the opportunity to work more closely with our employees on assignment, as well as with our customers. We are counting on you to represent us well! Remember that you are an employee of Staffmark and should comply with policies and procedures of both Staffmark and UPSMI.

It is important to remember that all personnel issues, questions and/or concerns must be discussed directly and promptly with your Staffmark Onsite Manager. We are here to support and assist you with anything you need.

How to Check-In

Bring a valid, unexpired drivers license or identification card. Enter the door with the sign, “Drivers please chock your wheels.” Once in side, proceed to the door furthest from you, which leads to the breakroom. 

In the breakroom, go to the security guard stationed at the desk. You will exchange your Driver’s License or ID with the security guard for a temporary badge. The badge lets everyone know you are permitted in the building.

At the end of your shift, you will return the badge and the guard will return your license or ID.

Orientation Information

Contact your Staffmark Representative to get your Orientation information.

PLEASE NOTE:

Cell Phones are NOT allowed on the production floor. You can leave them in the lockers or with security.

Lockers are available to store your belongings during your shift. You must provide your own lock and take it off the locker at the end of your shift as they are a shared resource.

Employee Policies

Time Clock + Pay

Time Clock Procedures
  • You cannot clock into your shift before 53 mins past the hour. (Ex. If you are scheduled at 9 you cannot clock in until 8:53)
  • You are expected to be at work on time and to clock in and out properly and on time as well.
  • When clocking in you will use the last 4 of your social security number and department code (provided by management).
  • You are not permitted to go on break unless advised by your lead.
  • You cannot leave your position without letting your lead know.
  • We cannot stress enough that you will be working until the mail is complete.
  • You are not permitted to leave before end of shift.
  • If you leave before end of shift without communicating with the Supervisor or Onsite Manager before leaving you will be terminated.
  • Anytime that we are considered full you will be required to sign an Overstaffed list. Please do not leave without signing this form so that you get credit for showing up.
Pay Schedule
  • Paydays are every Friday.
  • If you requested a pay card you will need to pick it up from the office
  • The pay week runs Sunday – Saturday
  • When you receive your pay on Friday, you are being paid for the hours you worked the prior week

SHIFT REMINDERS

Whatever the job is that you’ve been hired for, we expect you to do that job to the best of your abilities. Please be respectful to everyone you encounter. This will help with all processes, and if you would ever like to be considered for a lead position or to advance, your interactions will be considered.

  • Any verbal/physical abuse, or insubordination is not tolerated.
  • You will receive start times through text for your scheduled shift.
  • You will need to text in 1 hour prior to shift to let us know if you are not able to work.
    • No Call No Show will result in termination.
    • If you need to request time off, you will need to fill out a form which can be provided to you by any of the leads for Staffmark.

At UPS we need every one of our workers to do their part so that each of our customers can receive their mail on time and in good condition.

You are a very important piece to our puzzle! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to text in.

Lunch / Other Policies

Lunches are 30 minutes, so it is suggested that you bring your lunch. Refrigerators, microwaves, vending machines and storage shelves are provided.

Dress Code

Our goal is to KEEP YOU SAFE, but you also want to make a good impression!

Sneakers are acceptable.
Do not wear any open toe shoes, or shoes with no backing like slippers, Crocs, or slides.

Dress comfortably. This is not a climate controlled facility so you will dress as the weather permits.

  • No jackets, large sweaters and coats
  • Hoodies are acceptable WITHOUT zippers
  • Beanies in the colder months, but no baseball caps
  • Shorts are acceptable in warmer months
  • No jewelry other than wedding rings
  • No open toed shoes or shoes with no backing such as crocs, slippers, or slides.
