How to Check-In

1st & 2nd Shift

Use the main entrance and ask for the hiring manager. Your supervisor will check you into the building, and provide you with a badge

3rd Shift

Use the door W3 and ask for the hiring manager. Your supervisor will check you into the building, and provide you with a badge

Building Access/ Badging

On your first day, a Taylor Print and Packaging secure access badge will be issued to you. This badge will allow you to enter the building and access your assigned areas. If you have lost your badge, please see Taylor Print and Packaging Human Resources for a 3-day loaner badge. If your badge is not found, there will be a $15 replacement fee. Badges must always be visible from the waist up when working at Taylor Print and Packaging. You must use your badge every time you enter the building. Do not ever allow anyone in the building—all people that can access the building will have their own working badge.

Parking is available for temporary employees in the employee parking lot. Do not park in stalls
designated for visitors.

Employee Policies

Time Clock

On your first day of assignment, you will be given a clock number for the timekeeping system. It is your responsibility to clock in and out each day and notify your supervisor of any issues experienced with the system. Failure to do so will result in inaccurate hours on the Taylor Print and Packaging payroll feed.

The payroll week is Monday through Sunday with pay day being every Friday.

Attendance

Attendance Policy

During your assignment, good attendance is of the utmost importance. It’s also essential that you be on time for your shifts. Please be aware that frequent absences and/ or tardiness can result in termination.

REquesting time off / Incase you are late or absent

If you are going to be late or absent, it is your responsibility to contact both your agency representative and your Taylor Print and Packing supervisor at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled shift time.

Your direct supervisors phone number is on the back of your badge. You must speak to someone at Taylor Print and Packaging. A message and/ or voicemail is not acceptable. Failure to properly report absences can result in termination.

 

Lunch / Other Policies

Food & Drink

Food is not permitted and/or to be consumed in production and/or warehouse areas. Meals and/or snacks should be eaten in designated break areas during prescribed break and/or meal periods only. Beverages are allowed; however, all beverages must be stored in non-spill containers. In addition, non-spill containers should not be placed on equipment and must be stored within an employee’s work area in a safe and/or hazard-free manner.

Taylor Print and Packaging wants to ensure a safe work environment for all employees. While on
assignment at Taylor Print and Packaging, there are important safety policies that must be adhered to:

  • Safety glasses are always required in the production area. Depending on the area, safety shoes may be required.
  • If you are injured on the job, notify your worksite supervisor and your agency representative immediately, regardless of the extent of the injury.
  • It is Taylor Print and Packaging goal to provide a safe and healthy work environment, so always report and unsafe working conditions to your worksite supervisor and your agency representative.
  • Adhere to all work safety requirements and wear all personal protective equipment as instructed by your worksite supervisor.
  • Always use safe lifting practices and be aware of ergonomic hazards. Notify your worksite supervisor and your agency representative if you incur any strains or sprains.
  • Follow the posted 10 mph speed limit in the parking lot.
  • Guns and weapons are strictly prohibited from Taylor Print and Packaging premises at any time.
  • Avoid forklifts in operation. Do not walk in their path and do not approach until they have stopped and you have eye contact with the driver. Always avoid the loading dock area.
Guidance for All Respiratory Viruses (Flu, RSW, COVID-19, Others)
  • Symptoms of respiratory viruses are defined as fever, chills, fatigue, cough, runny nose,
    headache.
  • Updated CDC Respiratory Virus Guidance recommends that people stay home and away from
    others until at least 24 hours after both their symptoms are getting better overall, and they
    have not had a fever (and are not using fever-reducing medication).
  • COVID-19 testing is not required under this new guidance. If a person has a positive COVID-19
    result, they must meet the 24-hour stay home period.
  • Masking is not required but can be done on a voluntary basis.
  • Remember – stay home when sick and contact your supervisor.
Cell Phone/ Camera policy

The use of cell phones and cell phone cameras is strictly prohibited at all times on the production floor.

SMoking

If you wish to smoke, it must be in your vehicle and at your scheduled break time.

Dress Code

Casual attire is acceptable to wear in the production environment, provided the following are adhered to:

  • Proper protective footwear is required, which is defined as footwear with a closed heel/closed
    toe shoe and a heel height of less than two inches
  • Non-graphic t-shirts, sweaters, polo/golf shirts or sweatshirts free of strings that hang down more than 3” when leaning over in any direction and hoods are not to be worn on the head
  • Jeans/khaki style pants, sweatpants, leggings, capris or shorts with no less than a 6” inseam and are free of stains, holes, rips or frays.
  • Long dresses or long skirts (not hanging past the ankles to prevent a trip and fall)
  • Hats/caps
  • Hair/Head Scarves must be securely fastened or tucked in, so it does not hang down more than 3” when leaning over in any direction
  • Production employees must not wear jewelry that is dangling (i.e., earrings, necklaces, bracelets,
    etc.)
