Santa Fe Springs, CA
Pay Rate: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour
Shift: (1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) (2nd Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)

Skills That Make the Cut
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to work with precision, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality standards.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a conventional machinist.
- Strong knowledge of manual machining processes and equipment.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and machining codes.
- Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills for tracking and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented environment.
Preferred:
- Forklift and crane operation certifications.
The Day to Day
- Operate 2- and 3-axis conventional mills and lathes within a multi-machine work cell.
- Perform complex machine setups, including tooling, fixtures, and chuck adjustments.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings to determine tolerances and machining sequences.
- Set and adjust machining parameters (speed, feed, depth, coolant flow).
- Run trial operations and monitor production to ensure precision and quality standards are met.
- Inspect finished parts to verify conformance to specifications.
- Utilize cranes, hoists, and forklifts to move materials and load machines.
- Track production time and maintain accurate job and quality records.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with engineering and production teams.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
