Now Hiring CNC Machinist (Direct Hire)
Columbia, PA
Pay Rate: $36.93 per hour + $2 shift differential
Shift: 1st Shift + 2nd Shift + Weekend Shift

CNC Machinist Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 5+ years of experience in CNC metal machining
• 3+ years of machine setup experience
• Strong knowledge of G & M codes and CNC programming
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience machining steel or other metals
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
• Basic math skills and ability to follow written procedures

How You’ll Spend Your Day

• Set up and operate CNC machines using blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
• Configure machines by entering programs, setting tool offsets, zero points, and registers
• Perform tool changes and monitor tool wear to maintain part quality
• Inspect first-article and in-process parts to ensure dimensional accuracy
• Troubleshoot machining issues and edit CNC programs (G & M codes) as needed
• Maintain product quality through measurements and quality control procedures
• Meet production goals for cycle time, output, and quality
• Perform basic machine maintenance, including coolant and oil checks
• Collaborate with team members to improve process efficiency and machining performance
• Mentor junior machinists and support team development
